The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Ukraine recommends Ukrainian citizens refrain from visiting the territories of Abhazia and South Ossetia. According to the Law of Georgia, concerning the territories of Abhazia and South Ossetia, entrance to the territories of Abhazia and South Ossetia is possible only at present with permission of competent organizations in Georgia, and only from the territory of Zugdid Municipality to Abhazia, and the Municipality of Gory to South Ossetia. Violation of this law, according to the criminal code of Georgia, is punishable by a fine or imprisonment for a term from three to six years. During a stay in the territory of Georgia we ask you to adhere to the general rules of personal safety, legislation of the country, and accept the general codes of conduct abroad. |
